Online store finally open!
Once upon a time prior to COVID-19, I had a little stall at a small local market nestled between beautiful Maroochydore beach and the Maroochy River in Cotton Tree. I really enjoyed my days of trade, chatting with my customers and other stallholders, and sharing my passion for making my beaded creations. Sadly, all that came to an abrupt end in the first few weeks of March in the wake of the enforced lockdown to keep us safe from the coronavirus pandemic. I've always loved the face-to-face contact with my customers, watching them choose something, try it on and eventually purchase for their collection and so when asked in the past why I don't have an online store, that was invariably the reason I would give, that I would miss the personal connection. However, more and more, online selling is becoming a viable avenue for small businesses like mine, so at the urging of and with the expertise of my adult daughter, who herself has a flourishing online jewellery store, I have created my new way of selling. It has been an interesting journey getting to here, with frustrations and setbacks along the way, but with plenty of coaching and encouragement, I finally opened today. I feel a sense of accomplishment and dare I say, even some excitement for what lies ahead in this new avenue. Wish me luck!
